I was hooked on photography as a young boy. My Dad had a 35mm film camera and I loved to experiment, to play with the settings and then had to wait for the film to be developed and the prints to be made and try to remember what I had done to create each image. I saved up my money as a teenager and bought a Russian Zenit - built like a tank - manual focus, manual aperture and manual shutter speed. This forced me to think about each image before I took it to ensure I had the settings I needed for the perfect photograph.

In the next few years I was fortunate enough to travel across the world photographing everything from fast jets to big cats, polar bears to volcanoes. While these images were spectacular, I realised the key for me was people, seeing their reactions to the photographs I had created of them. Their expressions and thanks made it incredibly rewarding.

So I focus on people, what they do, how they look, the expressions which reveal their inner thoughts and feelings. Over 300 weddings and countless portrait sessions later I can summarise what makes this job really special.

I photograph your day as it unfolds in a documentary style – naturally, without contrived poses or forced expressions. I will tell your story and celebrate the joining of your hearts. I see the look in your eye as you gaze at each other, the way the light catches your hair and the details of your dress. I capture those little hidden moments which are easily missed in the fast paced excitement of the day. These are the pictures which tell your actual story. You will enjoy and re-live them every time you look through your album of personal, timeless images.

Once the ceremony itself is over, you can relax and enjoy the day a little more. We build on the relationship we have developed from your pre-wedding shoot - I encourage you to be yourselves, to enjoy the atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings. You know I will move around, documenting the day with superb images of you and your guests.

The best part of the day is the buzz of excitement and disbelief from everyone when they see the photographs - we show a preview set of a few dozen gorgeous images at the evening reception. The look on a bride’s face is priceless when she sees how wonderful her photographs are. Her friends have tears of joy. The delighted smile from the groom as he and his wife are both over the moon with their photographs. The handshake from the Father of the Bride as we have captured his little girl’s special day with unforgettable images. These are the things which make this my chosen profession and make every wedding day unique.

The Rest of the Team

With two photographers working together you will get many more natural wedding images on your wedding day. People will be relaxed and at ease, not realising they are being photographed from afar.  There will be alternative angles on groups and events captured which you never saw on the day. Adam always works as the primary photographer, but another team member will be there to make sure every key moment is captured for you.
